Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Deputy Director Pham Xuan Tai presents flags to delegations achieving high rankings in the tournament.
The tournament took place from October 28-31 at the Cau Giay District Cultural, Information and Sports Center Stadium (Hanoi), organized by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.
This year’s competition attracted nearly 400 athletes from districts, towns, and cities; clubs under the Hanoi Taekwondo Federation; and various northern provinces, cities, and sectors. Athletes competed for 120 medal sets. At this Hanoi Open Taekwondo Tournament, spectators witnessed impressive performances by young martial artists, helping to maintain and promote Taekwondo training and competition among youth and children in the capital city.
The Phuc Tho district Taekwondo team participated with 18 members (including 1 team leader, 1 referee, 1 coach, and 15 athletes). Through determination, effort, and dedicated training, the Phuc Tho Taekwondo team secured 7 Gold medals, 3 Silver medals, 6 Bronze medals, and claimed the overall championship title.

The Hanoi Open Taekwondo Tournament was organized to encourage and promote Taekwondo training and competition among the capital’s youth; enhance networking, experience sharing, and understanding; and contribute to building a healthy cultural life. The tournament aims to provide a professional competitive platform for young generations, boost the capital’s Taekwondo movement, nurture passion, discover talent, and select outstanding athletes for various competitive levels. It also focuses on developing community Taekwondo and preparing forces for domestic and international student competitions, while strengthening health to support students’ academic pursuits and personal development.
