More than 800 Children Participate in 2024-2025 School Year Student Sack Race and Tug-of-War Competition

The opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 Dong Da District Student Sack Race and Tug-of-War Competition welcomed notable attendees, including Nguyen Hong Ngoc, Deputy Head of the Dong Da District Propaganda Department; Pham Hung Cuong, Deputy Head of the District Department of Culture and Information; members of the leadership from the Cultural, Information, and Sports Center; and principals from kindergartens across the district.

This year’s competition featured 827 young athletes from 26 kindergartens in the district, with 415 participants in the sack race and 413 in the tug-of-war. These two events are part of the 11 sports categories planned for the district’s student sports competition, which will run until the end of February 2025.

The Dong Da District Student Sports Competition aims to promote athletic engagement among students, identify and nurture young sports talents for the city team, and contribute to the broader campaign of “Encouraging People to Exercise Following President Ho Chi Minh’s Example.” By encouraging regular sports training and participation in competitions, the program seeks to enhance students’ physical health and contribute to their comprehensive development.

At the conclusion of the sack race and tug-of-war events, the organizers presented awards as follows:

Sack Race: First Prize for Dong Da Kindergarten; Second Prize for Hoa Hong Kindergarten; and Third Prizes for Mam Xanh Kindergarten and Trung Tu Kindergarten.

Tug-of-War: First Prize for Tuoi Hoa Kindergarten; Second Prize for Hoa Mai Kindergarten; and Third Prizes for Hoa Hong Kindergarten and Dong Da Kindergarten.
