The conference-seminar, hosted by the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism), in coordination with relevant agencies and units, aims to summarize 65 years of managing, protecting, and promoting the value of cultural heritage. It seeks to raise awareness among sector officials about managing, protecting, and promoting cultural heritage values and to share experiences in these areas.

The Thang Long Imperial Citadel Archaeological Site in Hanoi is currently home to a large number of relics, artifacts, and objects from various dynasties and historical periods of the country.
The conference will be attended by leaders from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; representatives from the National Assembly’s Committee for Culture and Education; the National Cultural Heritage Council; the Departments of Education and Social Affairs and Legal Affairs (Government Office); the UNESCO Representative Office in Hanoi; the Secretariat of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO; leaders from the Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the Departments of Culture and Sports of provinces and centrally-run cities, as well as scientists, experts, members of scientific advisory councils in the field of cultural heritage, and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, etc.
The conference-seminar “65 Years of Protecting and Promoting the Value of Cultural Heritage” is scheduled to be held in Hanoi in December 2024
