The Lien Tri Dong Son Village boasts two communal houses that have been recognized as historical and cultural relics as well as scenic landmarks. According to the village’s ancient records, Dong Son Communal House is dedicated to Princess Ngoc Nuong, who held the title of General of the Grand Ceremony. She was known for her contributions to the royal court’s victory over invaders. Though the king conferred upon her a noble rank, she declined the honor and instead chose to travel and live a peaceful life. She later established her residence in Dong Son Trang, which is now Dong Son Village. After her passing, the king granted her a sacred title at Dong Son, and the local people built a temple to honor her memory. On July 25, 1924, during the 9th year of Emperor Khai Dinh’s reign, she was posthumously conferred the title Duc Bao Trung Hung Linh Phu Ton Than.

The Lot Temple honors three Great Lords from the era of the Hung Kings and Princess Lien Hoa. The three Great Lords – Trieu Lang, Than Lang, and Gia Lang – were descendants of Hung Chieu Cong, a Hung King, and Nguyen Kim Nuong from Vinh Phuc Village, Liep Tuyet Commune. After ten years of marriage, Nguyen Kim Nuong gave birth to a miraculous pouch on May 12 of the Year of the Dragon, which opened to reveal three sons, each with extraordinary features. At their birth, a fragrant aura filled the air. The three brothers, known for their exceptional intelligence, mastered literature and Confucian teachings within a few years and became highly skilled in martial arts. When the Yin invaders threatened the land, the brothers were tasked with rallying talent and ultimately defeated the invaders. Following their victory, they settled in Dai Phu and Vinh Phuc villages, teaching the people farming techniques and livelihoods. After passing away at Mao Ke Spring on Mount Tan Vien, the three were posthumously conferred titles by the king and have since been venerated by the local community.

Princess Lien Hoa, the daughter of Dinh Bo Linh and his wife Dang Thi, played a key role in suppressing the Twelve Warlords during the battle at Quen Citadel. Afterward, she requested her father’s permission to settle in Tram Nhi, the land where she prayed for success during the campaign. The people of Tram Nhi revered her, affectionately calling her “Duc Vua Ba” (The Virtuous Queen Mother). She passed away on May 4, and in gratitude for her contributions, the people of Tram Nhi built a temple in her honor and inscribed her title as Duc Vua Ba Lien Nuong Princess. The deities worshiped at Lot Temple are remembered for their significant contributions to repelling foreign invaders and safeguarding the well-being of the people.
In addition to its spiritual significance, Lot Temple also holds revolutionary importance. It once served as the headquarters during a combined military operation involving guerrilla fighters, local residents, and main forces deployed by the Inter-zone Committee. The operation involved constructing a pontoon bridge across the Tich River at Bet Ferry and led to the resounding victory of “Ham Rong Uprising” in March 1951, followed by the triumph of “Thong Dat Campaign” in March 1954.
The traditional festival of Lien Tri Dong Son Village is held annually, typically lasting three days. The ceremonial activities include worship rituals, offerings, and processions, while the festive events feature cultural performances, artistic programs, and sports activities, creating a joyous and vibrant atmosphere for the local community. This festival preserves the cultural values passed down by the ancestors, strengthens village unity, and fosters familial bonds, offering the people an opportunity to relax and celebrate after months of hard work.
