Hanoi has officially recognized two traditional crafts under the “Hanoi Traditional Crafts” designation: the production of Com (young green rice) in Lang Vong Village, Dich Vong Hau Ward, Cau Giay District, and lotus tea processing in Quang An Ward, Tay Ho District. The Municipal People’s Committee will present official recognition certificates and provide a support grant of 6,000,000 Vietnamese dong to each craft.

Simultaneously, the city has granted the “Hanoi Traditional Craft Village” title to the Quang Ba Lotus Tea Processing Craft Village, located in Quang An Ward, Tay Ho District. The Municipal People’s Committee will present an official recognition certificate and offer a support grant of 12,000,000 Vietnamese dong.

The support funding will be drawn from the budget allocated to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, as specified in Decision No. 6336/QD-UBND dated December 12, 2023, by the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee. This decision concerns the assignment of socio-economic development targets and the budget revenue and expenditure estimates for Hanoi in 2024. The decision takes effect from its signing date.
