Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, the Vice Chairman of Dong Da District People’s Committee presided over the event at the Dong Da District site.

The “Green Library, Thinh Quang Secondary School” project aims to ensure modern library infrastructure, open spaces, and a green environment, providing students with optimal conditions for studying, entertainment, and relaxation.

Through the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, the Government of India has granted a non-refundable financial aid of 1,250,000,000 VND (approximately 50,000 USD) to Dong Da District for the implementation of the “Green Library, Thinh Quang Secondary School” project. The implementation period is one year from the date the project is approved by the competent authorities. The activities involved in the project include: Renovating the existing library room with items such as gypsum ceilings, wall painting, wooden flooring, electrical systems, library furniture, and the addition of books on India; transforming open spaces in the corridors of the second and third floors of Building A; designing an open library with features including roof structures, interior design, and equipment; building a digital library with systems like iPads, computers, book scanners, and barcode scanners.

Once completed, the library of Thinh Quang Secondary School is expected to be modernized and spacious, with an open corridor space designed for the library; a green library space will be built on the fourth floor of Building B; and the installation of modern digital library equipment.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, the Vice Chairman of Dong Da District People’s Committee expressed his sincere thanks to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam and the Indian Government for supporting Dong Da District in carrying out the “Green Library, Thinh Quang Secondary School” project. This project highlights the strength of the comprehensive strategic partnership between India and Vietnam and contributes to the common efforts toward achieving sustainable development goals. Through this project, the Vice Chairman expressed his hope for the enduring friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and India, and the lasting relationship between the Indian Embassy in Vietnam and Dong Da District.
