Sports Competitions to Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army

The 2024 Military Sports Tournament featured nearly 200 athletes representing military staff, armed forces personnel, and militia from various communes, towns, and local units. Athletes competed in badminton across three categories: male doubles aged 18-40, male doubles aged 41-60, and mixed doubles. With exceptional sportsmanship, matches were intense, exciting, and competitive, with participants strictly adhering to organizational regulations, displaying enthusiasm, responsibility, solidarity, and ensuring safety.

At the tournament’s conclusion, the organizing committee awarded three First, three Second, and six Third prizes across different categories: 18-40 Age Group Male Doubles: First Place: Van Dinh Town Unit; Second Place: Dai Hung Commune; Third Place: Van Thai and Tao Duong Van Communes. 41-60 Age Group Male Doubles: First Place: Van Dinh Town Unit; Second Place: Dong Tien Commune; Third Place: Cao Thanh and Hoa Lam Communes. Mixed Doubles: First Place: Doi Binh Commune; Second Place: Van Dinh Town Unit; Third Place: Hoa Xa and Quang Phu Cau Communes.

The tournament aimed to enhance physical health for military personnel, further promote physical fitness activities, and align with the “Strong to Build and Protect the Homeland” movement, inspired by the great President Ho Chi Minh. Additionally, it created a healthy cultural environment and generated enthusiastic competition to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 – December 22, 2024) and the 35th National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 – December 22, 2024)./.
