At Tay Phuong Pagoda, Thach Xa Commune, historical witnesses, the abbot of Tay Phuong Pagoda, and senior local residents provided information and timelines regarding the event of President Ho Chi Minh visiting Tay Phuong Pagoda. Among these, there were two occasions when President Ho visited the pagoda: the first in 1947 on the way to the revolutionary capital, and the second on his birthday, May 19, 1959.

At Phu Da Communal House, Can Kiem Commune, historical witnesses emphasized the heroic revolutionary tradition of the cadres and people of Phu Da village, Can Kiem Commune during the resistance against French colonialism. Witness Ta Kien Sam recounted the event when Comrade Ton Duc Thang attended a rally and read President Ho Chi Minh’s call for national resistance in December 1946 at Phu Da Communal House.

Information on revolutionary and resistance event memorial sites serves as the basis for completing the dossiers for installing commemorative plaques.

The information provided by historical witnesses, knowledgeable persons, and those related to the revolutionary and resistance event memorial sites will be valuable materials, enriching and deepening the historical documents of the homeland. At the same time, it serves as a basis for the working delegation from the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to verify information and complete the dossiers for installing plaques at revolutionary historical event memorial sites.

This is an honor for the Party Committee, authorities, and the people of Thach Xa Commune and Can Kiem Commune in particular, and for Thach That District in general. Having commemorative plaques installed at revolutionary historical event sites contributes to preserving and promoting the value of the relics, turning them into “red addresses” for educating the public about local revolutionary historical traditions.
