The album “History Carved in Stone” consists of 2 CDs with 17 compositions created from the streams of history, heritage, and national culture. The works are interwoven into a continuous story about Confucianism and knowledge, depicting the cultural flow from the ancient scholarly era to the current generation’s aspiration for learning and self-cultivation. It is a journey of preserving and promoting the spirit of learning, illuminating the path of knowledge for future generations.
The album is also a heartfelt tribute to cultural figures and national heroes, honoring ancestors who forged the sacred soul of the land. From the heroic spirit of the Trung Sisters, the first female heroes in the history of resistance against foreign invaders, to the wisdom and patriotic heart of President Ho Chi Minh, the pioneer who led the nation toward independence and self-reliance through the light of knowledge.
Each melody recalls the spirit of dedication, wisdom, and resilience over time. These values are not only engraved on the stone steles of Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam but also live vividly in the consciousness of the Vietnamese people, serving as a guiding light for generations striving toward knowledge.

The CD “History Carved in Stone” leads listeners back to their roots, where predecessors recorded history with words, while connecting to the present through images of devoted boatmen ferrying generations of students to the shores of knowledge.
At the event, musician Dinh Khanh Ly and her team performed a special ensemble accompanied by folk scenes, while creating a diverse artistic experience including calligraphy, woodblock prints, rubber prints, and other art forms. After the event, the Calligraphy – Fine Arts exhibition space at Ho Van will continue to be open until May 30 to serve visitors to Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam.
