The exhibited artworks are the creative achievements of artists from the “Colorful Natural Life School” Calligraphy Club, with the collaboration of the Asian Heritage and Culture Club and the Thanh Lieu Woodblock Carving Craft Village (Hai Duong).

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tien Da – Director of the Hanoi Museum – affirmed: “President Ho Chi Minh’s poetic legacy has been an endless source of inspiration for contemporary artists, including calligraphers and traditional craft artisans. With an artistic spirit that blends tradition and modernity, this exhibition presents unique, creative, and emotional works that express deep gratitude and respect for our great national leader. The graceful calligraphy strokes, combined with harmonious colors, create a profound, sacred, and deeply moving artistic space. Each piece in the exhibition is a creative expression of the artist’s own distinctive style.”

“The exhibition offers the public an opportunity to meet, connect, and appreciate distinctive cultural and artistic values, while spreading patriotism and gratitude for our beloved President Ho Chi Minh. Through this event, the Hanoi Creative Coordination Center also hopes to collaborate with creative community groups to build a vibrant, comprehensive, and culturally centered Hanoi – where culture becomes the core of sustainable development,” shared Mr. Nguyen Tien Da.
At the opening ceremony, in addition to enjoying calligraphy works expressing sacred affection for Uncle Ho, visitors also had the opportunity to witness the live carving performance of President Ho Chi Minh’s poem ‘Prison Diary’ by artisan Nguyen Cong Dat, and to experience traditional woodblock printing techniques from Thanh Lieu Village (Hai Duong). Guests could even print and take home a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh – a small, meaningful gift from the Thanh Lieu Woodblock Craft Village and the Organizing Committee.

In addition, the public enjoyed a live calligraphy performance by artist Thai Tinh – Chairman of the “Colorful Natural Life School” Calligraphy Club – and participated in hands-on calligraphy writing under the guidance of professional calligraphers. Notably, for each artwork exchanged or sold at the exhibition, the authors will contribute 30% of its value to the Fund for Victims of Agent Orange – a deeply humanitarian gesture from the artists and Organizing Committee.

The exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh’s poetry through colorful calligraphy” offers citizens and visitors a meaningful opportunity to appreciate, exchange, and spread patriotism and deep gratitude toward President Ho Chi Minh – the great leader of the nation. The exhibition will remain open until May 29, 2025.
