Educating younger generations on revolutionary traditions and patriotism through thematic exhibitions at Hoa Lo Prison Relic
To promote and educate about the revolutionary traditions and patriotic spirit among the youth, during the three-year period (2022–2024), the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board has inaugurated and introduced 15 thematic exhibitions at the Relic site and 3 traveling thematic exhibitions in several localities on national and Capital anniversary occasions. The Board has also organized exchange programs between historical witnesses of Hoa Lo Prison and organizations, agencies, and units throughout the Capital.
Since 2022, the Board has maintained the experiential visit program “Sacred Night 2 – Living Like Blossoms,” introducing and honoring the contributions and sacrifices of patriotic female revolutionaries. Rising above the harsh conditions in prison, these blossoms still radiated fragrance. They lived, fought, and many courageously sacrificed their lives right at Hoa Lo Prison.
With the positive reception of the public for the nighttime experiential program at the Hoa Lo Prison Relic, on February 14, 2023, in celebration of the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Board continued to launch the program “Sacred Night 3 – The Flame of Youth,” which introduces and honors the contributions and sacrifices of young patriotic revolutionaries at Hoa Lo Prison. With a burning flame of youth and revolutionary ardor, many young fighters bravely fought and courageously laid down their lives right here.
Up to now, the “Sacred Night” program has been held regularly every Friday and Saturday evening, attracting a large number of young people to participate in the experience, contributing to awakening a sense of pride in the indomitable and loyal spirit of revolutionary soldiers. This in turn influences the thoughts, awareness, responsibility and actions of the younger generation.

Creativity and innovation in nighttime experiential programs at the Hoa Lo Prison Relic
Communication work is an important task that the Board has actively promoted through various creative forms, generating practical results. Communication activities are carried out with focus, aligned with each phase and event, contributing to spreading the Relic’s values to a wide audience.
The Board publishes articles on the official fanpage “Hoa Lo Prison Relic,” produces communication materials at the Relic’s information point such as posters and animation clips promoting the “Sacred Night” program. Additionally, the Board effectively utilizes social media platforms including Instagram, Threads and Giphy, while also posting thematic exhibition content on Spotify, Apple Podcast and the Board’s website.
Thanks to a well-designed communication strategy, engagement on the fanpage has steadily increased over the years. To date, the Relic’s fanpage has attracted more than 420,000 followers and nearly 350,000 likes.
Hoa Lo Prison Relic has become a “red address” for educating revolutionary patriotism among people of all walks of life, especially the younger generation, thereby strengthening their determination to carry forward the nation’s proud traditions and contribute to building and developing the Capital and the country.
