Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Le Hong Son has signed Decision No. 205/KH-UBND dated July 30, 2025, approving the plan to organize the ceremony commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Specialized Departments within the system of professional agencies under the Hanoi People’s Committee (August 28, 1945 – August 28, 2025).

The ceremony aims to review and honor the 80-year history of formation and development of key sectors, including Home Affairs; Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; Justice; Finance; Transport; Office Administration; Foreign Affairs; Information and Communications; Culture and Sports. It also recognizes the contributions of successive generations of officials, while fostering a spirit of emulation and encouraging civil servants and public employees to continue their dedication and service.

The commemoration is scheduled to take place before August 28, 2025, at the Viet Xo Friendship Cultural Palace, with the participation of representatives of the Government and central ministries and agencies; leaders of the Hanoi Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Hanoi; former leaders of departments and agencies; and outstanding representatives from the respective sectors.
In addition, the City will launch a peak emulation campaign from now through the end of August 2025 to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the sectors. Communication and education activities will be carried out through official websites, banners, posters, and feature reports, and integrated into cultural, artistic, and sports events. Hanoi Radio and Television will also produce a commemorative video titled “80 Years of Growth and Development.”
