On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), artistic units under the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports will organize performances to serve various classes of the capital’s residents in communes and wards across the city.

Accordingly, at 20:00 on August 17, the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theatre will perform in Thach That Commune. On the evening of August 19, the Hanoi Cheo Theatre will perform in Phu Xuyen Commune; the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theatre will perform in Me Linh Commune; and the Hanoi Drama Theatre will perform in Ba Vi Commune. On the evening of August 30, the Hanoi Cai Luong Theatre will perform in My Duc Commune; and the Hanoi Cultural and Library Center will perform in Dan Phuong Commune. At 20:00 on September 1, the Hanoi Cultural and Library Center will hold a second performance in Ung Hoa Commune.
In addition, artistic units will also organize performances at the fireworks display locations across the capital on the evenings of September 1 and September 2. Specifically, Thang Long Song and Dance Theatre will collaborate with Vietsofpro Group Joint Stock Company to organize a performance at My Dinh National Stadium, Tu Liem Ward, scheduled for 19:30 on September 1 and September 2, 2025. Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre, in coordination with Song Nhi Company Limited, will organize performances at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, scheduled from August 30, 2025 to September 2, 2025.
Hanoi Cheo Theatre, in collaboration with Vu Gia Khang Production Trading Service Company Limited, will perform at Thong Nhat Park, Hai Ba Trung Ward. The program is scheduled from August 30, 2025 to September 2, 2025. At 19:30 on September 2, 2025, Hanoi Cai Luong Theatre is expected to perform at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden Area, Tay Ho Ward; and Hanoi Drama Theatre will perform at Van Quan Lake, Ha Dong Ward.

The performances will focus on praising the Party and the great President Ho Chi Minh; celebrating the homeland, the country, and the heroic Vietnamese people; honoring the glorious victories and remarkable achievements of the Vietnamese nation over the past 80 years, especially the outstanding accomplishments after nearly 40 years of implementing the renewal policy initiated and led by the Party. They will also celebrate the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary spirit, self-reliance, national solidarity, and the aspiration to build a prosperous and strong country. Additionally, the programs will praise Hanoi as a thousand-year-old capital of civilization – the City for Peace, the City of Creativity.
The artistic programs are elaborately and distinctively staged with diverse art forms including singing, music, dance, drama, circus, and ethnic musical theatre, meeting the entertainment needs of a wide range of the capital’s residents.
