Responding to the campaign for “Entire people do physical exercises following Great Uncle Ho’s example” and on the accassion of the celebration of the 71st founding anniversary of Viet Nam’s physical sports sector (27/3/1946 – 27/3/2017), on the morning of the 1st April, the district of north Tu Liem held the family sports tournament 2017.
Attending and speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Luu Ngoc Ha, Deputy Chairman of the district People’s Committee stressed: The family sports tournament 2017 is an activity of great significance, which falls within a series of physical and sport activities such as Olympic running day for the entire people’ health, new Ha Noi newspapers the 4th running tournament for peace, heading for the 1st physical sports congress of the district of north Tu Liem in 2017. With a view to enhancing the sphysical sports movement to further development, all branches, ward – level People Committees, agencies, units within the district need to continue bringing into full play the obtained outcomes, focusing on building and developing mass physical sports movement on a large and sustainable scale at every ward; launching intensively and extensively the movement of physical and sports exercise among the public; actively responding to the campaign for “Entire people do physical exercises following Great Uncle Ho’s example”, striving to maintain an annual everage growth rate of 1% regular exercisers number.
This is the second time, the district of north Tu Liem organizes the family sports tournament. At this year’s event, there are 55 families competing for the sport items, including: relay run and bag jump, and badminton.
Closing the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 7 first prizes, 7 second prizes and 11 third prizes to the families which had got high achievements in all the three competing sports.
