On the morning of 22 April, Sáng 22/4, Ha Noi City’s Elder Swimming Association held the second congress of representatives for 2017 – 2021 term. Attending the congress was Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen, Deputy Chairwoman of the Viet Nam National Administration of Physical Exercise and Sports, Mr. Dinh Van Luyen, Head of Physical Exercise and Sports Management of Ha Noi Department of Culture and sports, together with the representatives from clubs and selected Association members of the clubs in Ha Noi city area.
Mr. Pham Khac Tao, Chairman of Ha Noi Municipal Elder Swimming Association, 2010 – 2016 term, makes a report at the congress
Mr. Pham Khac Tao, Chairman of Ha Noi Municipal Elder Swimming Association presented a sum-up report on the Association’s performances during the term of 2010 – 2016, working orientations for the term of 2017 – 2021. As from 2010 to 2016, Ha Noi Municipal Elder Swimming Association had teamed with Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports to organize Phu Dong Sports Festival on an annual basis in March and July respectively for primary shool and basic high shool children; the traditional swimming competition for the middle elderly people in the area of Ha Noi for the 3 consecutive years (2012, 2014, 2016). As a result, Ha Noi Elder Swimming Association had seized the first collective prize at the traditional middle elderly swimming tournament over the whole country. Entering the 2017 – 2011 term, the Municipal Elder Swimming Association would continue to proactively coordinate with Ha Noi Department of culture and sports to hold fruitfully and safely swimming competitions for the primary and basic high school childen and for the middle elderly people in the area of Ha Noi city; and would strive to get the highest collective prize at the national swimming tournament for the middle elderly. The Association would also propagandize and mobilize its members, city folks to respond to the movement of doing sport exercise in general and swimming sport in particular, aimed at actively enhancing the health care for the entire people. It would continue recruiting and selecting potential atheletes with expertises, good health, coaching experiences in swimming; training and providing senior swimmers to the city and helping ward off the swimming ignorance, minimizing drowning risks for the city folks.
4 individuals with outstanding achievements receive certificate of commendment from Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports
Acknowledging the contributions by the Municipal Elder Swimming Association for the term of 2010 – 2016, Ha Noi Department of Culture and sports had given the certificate of commendment to the whole Association and 4 individuals with excellent performances in this activity. Ha Noi Municipal Elder swimming Association also appraised and awarded 10 individuals who had made considerable contributions to the Association’s movement.
Upon discussions and comments given to the 2010 – 2016 sum-up report; guidelines and tasks to be implemented in the coming term of 2017 – 2021, all of the delegates had agreed to elect the Executive Committee of the term 2017 – 2021, comprising of 10 members. Mr. Pham Khac Tao continued to be elected as the Association’s Chairman.
