Together with other districts throughout Hanoi, the functional forces of Nam Tu Liem district and its 10 wards, from March 10 morning simultaneously launched campaign to the locals to follow the urban civilization and return sidewalks to the pedestrians.
The People’s Committee of Me Tri Ward organized 15 groups, consisting of associations, mass organizations, ward police, the Guard Teams and leaders of the Civil Groups to carry out propaganda and advocacy on all roads in the ward, mainly focusing on propaganda of regulations on advertising signboards, vehicle parking in accordance with the regulations, taking the initiative to remove roofs, pedestals, etc. which obstruct traffic, and occupy sidewalks, roadway, worsening the urban beauty. The delegation also provided an open letter of the Chairman of the district People’s Committee and a letter of commitment for business households to jointly build civilized urban roads and streets.
In Phu Do Ward, its functional forces consisting of leaders of Party Committee, People’s Committee of the Ward, industries, unions, public security forces and the Guard Teams of the Civil Groups went out together for propagandizing and encouraging the business households and owners of shop houses along Le Quang Dao and Chau Van Liem streets to strictly observe the regulations on business, hanging advertising signboards, parking, keeping environmental sanitation. For cafes with great volume of customers, the forces reminded their owners to comply with the regulations on parking, goods display and sale and not to occupy the sidewalks, roadway, preserve the landscape, build a green, clean and beautiful street.
The functional force of My Dinh 2 Ward focused on propagandizing and encouraging the business households along Le Duc Tho and Nguyen Hoang streets and surrounding areas of My Dinh bus station.
The My Dinh 1 ward focused its forced on carrying out propaganda and advocacy along the Pham Hung, Tan My, My Dinh, Thien Hien streets and in the My Dinh – Me Tri urban area.
People’s committees of Trung Van, Xuan Phuong, Phuong Canh, Tay Mo, Dai Mo, Cau Dien wards also deployed their forces to propagandize and encourage the locals living and doing business along the their main streets to actively respond to the construction of civilized urban roads and streets.
After propaganda and advocacy, the functional forces of the districts and wards will strictly handle organizations and individuals that do not comply with the general regulations on urban order and civilization.
