To strengthen relic management and protection, the People’s Committee of My Duc District has directed the disciplines and the People’s Committees of communes and towns to further boost up the propaganda and implementation of the Cultural Heritage Law, ensuring security and order, preventing acts of damaging relics; preserving the relic environmental hygiene and landscape; practising a civilized lifestyle at the relics; offering incense, burning worship papers, throwing waste at the right place, and regularly inspecting the preservation, repair, restoration of the relics. All repairs, renovation, and construction within the protection scope of relics must not be done without procedures as prescribed by the law.
In fire and explosion prevention and relic protection in the rainy season, the relic protection committee must have plans and means to prevent fires and explosions in place and be ready to respond to cases of fires at the relics. Besides, the relic management board should arrange and use the artifacts in the relics according to the diagrams and records, ensuring compatibility with nature, scope, landscape and fine customs and habits at the relics. Only artifacts and worship items appraised and instructed by competent professional agencies are accepted. Measures to manage the artifacts and properties of the relics and prevent thefts of Buddhist statues and antiques in the relics should be taken.
