To achieve the goal of promoting and enhancing the quality of the “All people join hands to build a cultural life” movement, the People’s Committee of Thanh Oai district requests the People’s Committees of communes and towns to build an elegant and civilized lifestyle and a healthy cultural environment, promote the construction and improvement of the quality of recreational, entertainment and sports facilities, flower gardens, flower streets, trees, and self-managed roads in hamlets in the locality.
Sports facilities gain more investments
Accordingly, hamlets and residential groups set up community self-management committees to develop and improve the quality of recreational, entertainment and sports facilities, flower gardens, flower streets, trees, and self-managed roads in hamlets and residential groups within the locality. In each hamlet there are self-managed roads by the mass organizations such as the Unions of Women, Farmers, Youth, Veterans, etc., taking into account the main roads in hamlets and villages.
People are encouraged to clean up, plant and create flower and tree gardens and playgrounds on public land and interlocked land in the villages, creating recreational and entertainment facilities for all classes of people. Local socialization resources are mobilized for installation of physical training and sports equipment and benches at recreational, entertainment and sports facilities and self-managed roads constructed within the hamlets.
Self-managed roads are built to create a green, clean and beautiful environment
Each hamlet chooses 2 appropriate roads within its scope to plant flowers and green trees on both sides of the roads for environmental landscapes and no littering. Each hamlet arranges to clean up at least one public pond or lake to make a swimming area for teens and children, and encourages socialization in building standardized permanent swimming pools and portable swimming pools in the locality, to prevent drowning among children.
At the same time, communes and towns maintain weekly hygienic measures on Saturdays or Sundays and have places for waste collection to ensure hygiene. People are asked to dump waste on time, at the right place. It is required to inspect and fix improper panels and signboards and resolutely handle the billboards as well as remove nonconforming advertisements.
