The Propaganda and Education Commission of the City Party Committee requests all levels of Party Committee, authorities, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to consider the propaganda a important, leading and the decisive factor for the successful prevention of COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, it is necessary to currently further accelerate the propaganda; clarify the current condition and nature of dangers, risks and harms caused by COVID-19 pandemic; make accurate and timely propagation of the development of the pandemic and prevention measures.
The Propaganda and Education Commission of the City Party Committee also requires the serious propaganda and implementation of the direction of the Party Committee as well as the recommendations of the City Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of the Pandemic, the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO) in order to prevent and limit the spread of the pandemic. To be specific:
Propagate and educate people to actively take measures to prevent the pandemic and keep themselves and the community healthy with the motto of self-prevention.
Urge those who have passed the epidemic area and those at high risk of infection to feel assured, trust, voluntarily declare their health condition, and get to medical facilities for examination and treatment when having symptoms, Besides, people should share, understand, and show their consent to the authorities and functional agencies in the process of implementing pandemic prevention and control measures. What is more, scientific isolation measures should be effectively performed, avoiding any way of discrimination and alienation.
Propagate and praise the spirit and sense of responsibility of all levels, branches, entities and individuals who perform well the prevention and control measures. Organizations and individuals shall be encouraged to actively participate in supporting activities for prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front such as making spiritual or material contributions to the pandemic prevention course of the whole country.
Promptly detect and handle any subjective, indifferent and insensitive expressions when people’s health and life are at risk, acts for personal purposes during the pandemic, and acts of concealing information that adversely affect the pandemic prevention.
Proactively understand the current situation, promptly propagate and thoroughly handle false information (both in reality and on social media like internet) regarding COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the bewilderment among the masses, causing the social disorder, and adversely affecting the socio-economic development in each area, capital city, and the country. Focus on disseminating the strict handling in accordance with law as well as the public’s dissatisfaction with acts of sabotage causing damages to the Party and the State by taking advantage of the pandemic.
