The whole commune had 93.5% of households meeting the standard of Cultural family; 3/3 villages, Primary schools, Kindergartens, Commune Health Stations maintained and won the titles of Cultural Village, Cultural Agency and Cultural Unit; the communes met the new rural cultural standard in the period of 2020-2021; People and commune officials were awarded the Flag of Excellent Units in the emulation movement by the Hanoi People’s Committee; The Commune Party Committee was recognized and rewarded by the District Party Committee as a Party’s grassroots organization excellently completing the tasks… These are proud results achieved by officials, party members and people of Hoa Son commune, Ung Hoa district in 2021.
The new rural appearance in Hoa Son is increasingly improved

Implementing the campaign “All people unite to build new countryside and civilized cities” and the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life”, Hoa Son commune has increasingly changed its appearance to bright – green – clean – beautiful countryside. Electricity, roads, schools and stations are invested in spacious and modern construction. The whole commune has 4.5km of flower streets, 170m2 of mural paintings. The paintings are elaborately painted with many topics: Homeland landscape, new countryside construction, environmental protection, propaganda for epidemic prevention and control, not only contributing to beautify the environment landscape, spreading good meanings of the contest “Keeping the village roads and alleys green, clean and beautiful” but also reminding people to raise their awareness and sense of responsibility to build a richer, more beautiful and civilized homeland. The general environmental sanitation has become the norm. People raise their awareness of preserving the environment, actively planting and taking care of flowers and trees, creating a green, clean, beautiful and fresh living space. The economy continued to develop, achieving a growth rate of 8.3%. Per capita income was estimated at VND 63.08 million/person/year, up 42% compared to 2020, up 3.14% compared to the plan in 2021.
The building of cultural families has been seriously implemented. The Commune Women’s Union has promoted its pivotal role in building civilized and happy families. The Union has well maintained 2 civilized and happy family clubs, effectively organized activities to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of members; supported members to build happy families, develop the economy and improve their living standards. In the past 5 years, Hoa Son Commune Women’s Union has helped 207 workdays for disadvantaged households and poor women. The Union also mobilized the women to donate their savings of VND 85 million and mobilized the socialization resources to support over 150 million VND to give 267 gifts to poor members and women in difficult circumstances. In addition, the Union mobilized its members and people to support the flood-affected Central region with over VND 18 million, 600 kg of rice and necessities. In the years 2020-2021, the Union has helped 03 children with difficult circumstances in the commune, with a total amount of nearly VND 20 million, contributing to ensuring social security.

Implementing Scheme No. 01/DA-UBND dated November 27, 2017 of Ung Hoa District People’s Committee on organizing the effective implementation of activities of cultural houses in villages and residential groups in the district by 2020, with orientation to 2025, up to now, all 3 villages of the commune each have a newly built and spacious Cultural House, which is a place for meeting, cultural activities, arts and sports practice of the People, serving practical tasks in the locality. From 2020, with the mobilization of socialization resources, Mieng Ha village has successfully launched the self-managing cultural house model with art, sport clubs and bookcases. After their establishment, the clubs operated effectively and created a mass movement in culture, art, sports, and development of reading culture among the people. In 2021, Mieng Thuong village (with 100% Catholic families) continued to be selected by the Commune People’s Committee to implement the self-managing Culture House model. The village has established a club of arts, sports, and bookcases. All clubs have a Board of Managers; In which, the Arts Club has attracted 23 members who regularly practice and perform locally as well as participate in contests and festivals. The sport club has 30 members of football, badminton, air volleyball, table tennis… Sports activities take place regularly, attracting a large number of people from all walks of life. The village bookcase has more than 400 titles covering many fields: Science and technology, literature, history, legal documents… to meet the people’s need to learn and cultivate knowledge.
In 2021, through assessment and classification, 4/7 Party cells excellently completed their tasks (accounting for 57.1%); 3/7 Party cells well completed their tasks (accounting for 42.9%); Party members who excellently completed their tasks accounted for 22.2%, Party members who well completed their tasks accounted for 75.7%, Party members who completed their tasks accounted for 2.1%. Hoa Son Commune’s Party Committee has admitted 4 Party members; introduced 7 elite people to attend a Party awareness training class…
Promoting the spirit of solidarity, officials and people of Hoa Son commune have well completed socio-economic tasks, ensuring national defense and security. In 2021, Hoa Son commune had completed the enhanced criteria of a new rural commune.
