On September 1, over 100 individuals adorned in Ao Dai will participate in a parade along the streets of Hanoi.
This event is part of the program “Ao Dai Connecting Tourism and Heritage,” spearheaded by the Hanoi Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Thang Long Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center and the Dinh Lang Viet Club. It serves as the opening act for a series of events within the framework of the “Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023.”
The “Ao Dai Connecting Tourism and Heritage” program will take place from 5:30 to 8:45 on September 1, 2023, starting from the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. The procession will traverse key tourist areas, including Hoang Dieu – Dien Bien Phu – Doc Lap (Ba Dinh Square) – Hoang Van Thu – Hung Vuong – Thanh Nien (Tran Quoc Pagoda) – Phan Dinh Phung – Hang Dau – Tran Nhat Duat – O Quan Chuong – Hang Chieu – Dong Xuan – Hang Khoai – Hang Luoc – Cha Ca – Luong Van Can – Le Thai To – Hang Khay – Dinh Tien Hoang (Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square) – Cau Go – Nguyen Huu Huan – Ly Thai To – Ngo Quyen – Ly Thuong Kiet – Le Thanh Tong – Hanoi Opera House – Trang Tien – Hang Khay – Trang Thi – Dien Bien Phu – Hoang Dieu – Thang Long Imperial Citadel.
In 2022, the Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival, organized by the Department of Tourism, was a resounding success, conveying the message of honoring the cultural and traditional values of Vietnam through Ao Dai. The event significantly contributed to promoting tourism and the cultural heritage of traditional Ao Dai in Vietnam, particularly in Hanoi, attracting numerous visitors, especially international tourists, to the capital.
