On the morning of November 26, at Hanoi Metropolitan University, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, in coordination with Hanoi Metropolitan University, held the opening ceremony for training courses under the Project “Improving the Quality of the City’s Cultural Management Officials, Civil Servants, and Public Employees by 2025, with Orientation toward 2030.”

Attending the opening ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Vice President of Hanoi Metropolitan University; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc, People’s Teacher and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Historical Science Association; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hanh, Head of the Organization and Legal Affairs Division of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Director of the Institute of Hanoi Studies and International Training (Hanoi Metropolitan University); Mr. Cat Toan Thang, Deputy Director of ICT Consulting Company; along with 308 trainees who are officials and public employees directly engaged in cultural work across the capital.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan emphasized that this event marks the launch of a series of important training and capacity-building activities aimed at developing a professional, standardized cultural management workforce capable of meeting the capital’s cultural development needs in the new period. He affirmed that the university would provide the most practical and valuable training content for participants. Experts involved in the courses would share their most valuable practical knowledge and experience to help trainees enhance the effectiveness of cultural management in their work.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc, People’s Teacher and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Historical Science Association, discussing the topic of identifying the cultural space of Thang Long – Hanoi for the capital’s sustainable development with trainees immediately after the opening ceremony.

The training courses include modules on updating knowledge about Thang Long – Hanoi, as well as intercultural communication in the context of innovation and international integration of the capital. These modules are delivered and shared by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Historical Science Association, and Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Director of the Institute of Hanoi Studies and International Training (Hanoi Metropolitan University).
