Nghia Tan ward’s leader presents gifts to Nghia Tan basic high school

 Actively responding to Viet Nam Books Day (21st April) as well as aimed at encouraging and promoting the reading culture among the community, on the 5th April 2017, at the Cultural and Sports Centre of Nghia Tan ward, the Books-Reading Day was held for the school year of 2016-2017. This programme was co-organized by the ward People’ Committee and Nghia Tan secondary school. Attending the festival, there were mor than 2,000 pupils from Nghia Tan high school, representatives of the branches, departments and unions situated on the site.

The Books-reading festival at Nghia Tan ward consisted of a number of useful and interesting activities. These were introduction of books, models made from books, book donation and givings,.ect,.  With the meticulous preparations, the pupils from Nghia Tan high school brought forward a number of typical books such as “Dad is a shade of my whole life”, “tales pf paradise”, “The last leaf”, ect.. which were made under the form of stage performances to convey various significant messages of  the books which have been widely known and loved by generations of pupils. The book-shaping models had truely brought about great impressions like the model of Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and Truong Sa lighting house,..   Under the kids’ skilful hands, books had been shaped into eye-catching and highly educational models.  Apart from the activities happening on the stage, participating readers at the festival had a chance to visit Nghia Tan high school’s library, the standardized situated on an area of nearly 700 square meters equipped with thousands of book items. Responding to the Organizing Committee’s appeal, the pupils, units and agencies located in the district had donated over 2,600 books to offer to the school’s library on the occassion of the 25th founding anniversary of  Nghia Tan ward (formerly called Nghia Tan town).

Having drawn a large number of people and pupils to participate in the event, the book-reading day 2017 in Nghia Tan ward was hugely fruitful, leaving deep impressions in the memories of the audiences. As results, it would help pupils and parents understand more clearly the importance of the book reading, raise the responsibilities born by all the levels, branches, relevant bodies and social organizations in the cause of restoring and developing the reading culture within the community.
