On the evening of the 26th May, at Cau Giay park, Cau Giay People’s Committee launched the “Act For Children Month 2017” with its title of “implementing the Child Law and Protection and Prevention of Child Violence and Abuse”. Attending the ceremony were representatives from the district People’s Committee and People’s Council; relevant departments, branches and unions; especially it was participated by more than 1000 selected kid members of the youth union in the district area.
For the past years, with the motto as “Let’s mean the best things to children”, the district of Cau Giay had carried out numerous substantive activities in order to create the best conditions to the children in the district area to comprehensively develop in both physical and spiritual manner. The district had paid its attention to building and upgrading the playgrounds for children. Currently, on the district site, there were 70 courtyards for playing and doing physical and sports exercises; at 8 wards, there were also centres for culture and sports which were being used and exploited with full capacity and essential results, meeting the requirements of healthy playing and recreation for people from all walks of life, including the children.
Under the plan to implement the Act For Children Month 2017, Cau Giay district had allocated specific duties to the sections, divisions. In which, the district division of cculture and information would collaborate with others in propagandizing the issue of protection and prevention of child violence and abuse; protection and prevention of child accidents, injuries and drowning,…
Right after the launching ceremony, it was followed by the excellent art performances conducted by Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre as a tiny frog, a deformed mask,… which were well enthusiastically welcome by children.
