In 2017, the Gifted Children’s Club (“Club”) (Cau Giay Center for Culture, Information, and Sports) was established to create a useful and healthy playground for children in the district as well as neighboring areas. After nearly 3 years of operation, the club has become a place for children to train and learn artistic skills as well as for the search of artistic talents among children.
Since its establishment, the Gifted Children’s Club has contributed significantly to the comprehensive education of children in the district. Meeting the needs among children for cultural and artistic learning and training, Cau Giay Center for Culture, Information, and Sports has annually developed a plan for strong promotion of club activities, enrollment, and training. Classes have been provided to children on singing, traditional dancing, modern dancing, ballroom dancing, piano, guitar, event hosting, drawing, modeling, etc. Children are trained with specific teaching textbooks and dedicated guidance by a team of professional, dedicated, enthusiastic, and responsible teachers. That is why the children’s skills are rapidly developed in a way appropriate to their age. The Center also regularly facilitates the children to participate in programs hosted by Hanoi Radio Television and Vietnam Television, as well as events in the district and Hanoi as a whole, national events, and events in neighboring districts, provinces, and cities.
In addition, the club is the core force for the hosting of cultural and sports activities, district and city-level competitions, and programs serving political missions and major holidays of the locality and the country. Participating in competitions at the district and city levels, the children from the Center often win high prizes such as Excellence Award at Cau Giay District Kids Talent Contest 2018, Second Prize at the city-level Folk Dance and Cheerleading Dance Contest 2019, First Prize at Hanoi Van and Chau Van Signing Contest 2018, Gold Medal and Silver Medal at the National Van and Chau Van Signing Contest 2018, Excellence Award at Youth Dance Group Contest 2019, First Prize at the city-level Youth Collective Singing and Dancing Contest in 2017, 2018, and 2019, etc. Ballroom Dance Club, a regular participant in the city and national tournaments with several gold and silver medals, was awarded the Second-class Honor Flag by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the development of Vietnam’s sports dance movement at the National Sports Dance Championship and the National Open Sports Dance Cup in 2019.

The development of children’s gifted club activities contributes to the development of movements with good impact and minimizes negative effects that might be associated with after-school activities, and is an effective way to manage children’s free time. Through these activities, the club has actively contributed to cultivating and creating cultural and artistic talent for the District as well as the city.
