Action Month for Children this year took place from June 1 to June 30, 2020 with practical activities such as: Organizing legal communication and education on implementing children’s rights, protecting children, focusing on the provisions of the Child Law; communicating the Government’s Decree No. 56/2017/ND-CP dated May 9, 2017 detailing a number of articles of the Law on Children and sanctions on violations of children’s rights and child abuse according to the provisions of the Criminal Law, handling administrative violations, preventing and combating domestic violence. In addition, the district will organize communication, consultation to provide knowledge on life skills for children; skills for preventing and fighting against accidents and injuries; child abuse prevention and control skills. Strengthen the state management of child protection and care; regularly review and manage children in general, children with special circumstances, the risk of falling into special circumstances in particular to have solutions to prevent, timely support, etc.

On this occasion, the district also organizes activities to support medical examination, treatment, surgery, orthopedic, functional rehabilitation for children with disabilities, children with congenital heart disease; organizes visits, giving gifts, and awarding scholarships to children with good achievements in learning and training, children with special circumstances, children living in poor households, children of ethnic minorities, etc. To organize safe and useful entertainment activities for children in association with child protection and care; prevention and control of child abuse and child injury prevention, especially drowning. To strictly implement prevention and control measures against Covid-19 pandemic for children and caregivers. To promote socialization, mobilize resources from domestic and international organizations and individuals to support children in general, children in special circumstances, who are at risk of falling into special circumstances in particular; invest in the construction of welfare projects, facilities or upgrade schools, classrooms, boarding houses, swimming pools, entertainment equipment, children’s playgrounds in the community, etc. in order to provide children with a safe environment for development.
