According to the plan of the People’s Committee of Hanoi city issued on the organization of the 10th Phu Dong Health Festival in Hanoi in the 2019-2020 school year, the competition program includes 12 subjects: swimming, athletics, chess, basketball, soccer, table tennis, badminton, shuttlecock kicking, Karatedo, Taekwondo, Aerobic and Vovinam.
Final competition round at district and town level took place from November 2019 to February 2020, city-level competition from January 2020 to March 2020. The opening ceremony of the 10th Phu Dong Health Festival in Hanoi for the 2019-2020 school year took place in March 2020 at the Indoor Athletics Palace, and the closing ceremony took place in October 2020 at Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
Last time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school’s students had to quit school to prevent and fight the epidemic, so the competition program of Phu Dong Health Festival was also postponed.
Before the Covid-19 epidemic broke out in Vietnam, 6/12 subjects in the Phu Dong Health Festival were finished. Now that the students who have come to the school in a new normal state, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has asked the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports to coordinate to organize the remaining 6 subjects in the Phu Dong Health Festival.
Basketball as part of the program has been finished.
Accordingly, football will be held at Thanh Tri district stadium from May 27 to June 5, athletics will take place from May 28 to June 2 at Hanoi Athletics Stadium, gymnastics, Taekwondo, Karatedo will be held at Trinh Hoai Duc Gymnasium and swimming will take place in Tang Bat Ho swimming pool.
Phu Dong Health Festival is a sports festival for high school students to maintain and promote the movement of exercise, sports to improve health, physical development, also discovering, fostering and training sports talent of the city.
