On 11 April, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee, chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee, Nguyen Duc Chung met with Senior Vice Chairman of the international TV Channel (CNN) Sunita Rajan to review the outcomes in the implementation of the cooperative programme signed between Ha Noi and CNN.

Going through the concluded cooperative programme for marketing and promotion of Ha Noi’ images worldwide, Ms Sunita Rajan noted that the outcomes of the cooperative programme between Ha Noi and CNN have been achieved as planned and required substances and progresses. Since the first film series was aired in the middle of March, CNN has received positive responses from viewers all over the world. The people involved themselves in the film making have felt excited to learn more about the history, culture of the city aged more than one thousand year. To be able to attract as many as possible tourists and visitor sto Haf Noi, she proposed that more detailed information be added on the city’s website, including famous tourism sites, tips for touring activities, so that travellers might be able to access, inquire and plan for their trips,.. She expressed her hope that in the coming time, Ha Noi will continue to work with CNN to step up marketing and promotion cooperation in other fields to woo more investment development.
Furthermore, She also expressed her wish that in 2017, Ha Noi should consider her presence in various international travel fairs like ITB in Berlin (Germany), London (Britain). Hence, it would help Ha Noi be promoted overseas overseas more effectively.
Fully agreeing to CNN Vice Chairman’s opinions, Chairman of Ha Noi people’s Committee Nguyen Duc chung highly appreciated the film qualities of Ha Noi made and broadcast by CNN; at the same time, affirmed this is the right step forward in promoting the images of Ha Noi Capital. By which, international friends will get to know much more about the country and people of Viet Nam.
Coming to terms with Sunita Rajan’s proposals in enriching the website’s contents of Ha Noi, Ha Noi Chairman said at the moment, the city is concentrating more inputs on the areas of cuisines, intangible culture and many other aspects so that the audiences in the worll will know more about the city of Ha Noi in particular and the country of Viet Nam in general. In this connection, Chairman of Ha Noi Nguyen Duc Chung requested Ms Sunita Rajan to dispatch seasoned consultants and designers to help make an easily accessible and useful website for all those who are intesrested.
