Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen has just signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 5866/UBND-QHQT dated October 31, 2025, regarding the implementation of coordination for organizing the event “Kanagawa Festival in Hanoi 2025.” This is a unique cultural and artistic event held annually in Vietnam, organized by the Government of Kanagawa Prefecture (Japan) in cooperation with Hanoi City.

Accordingly, the City assigns the Department of Culture and Sports as the focal point of Hanoi City with Kanagawa Prefecture, its representative unit, and relevant agencies to coordinate guidance, facilitate, and successfully organize the event “Kanagawa Festival in Hanoi 2025.” Responsible for staging and arranging special art performances; coordinating the organization of booths introducing Hanoi cuisine. Strengthening communication, dissemination, and promotion before and after the event. Advising on matters related to the preparation and organization of the Opening Ceremony of the Festival in terms of technical aspects, reception, logistics as proposed by the partner.

Assigning the People’s Committee of Hai Ba Trung Ward to take the lead, in coordination with the City Police, relevant departments, and sectors to implement plans ensuring environmental landscape conditions, security, order, healthcare, and fire prevention and fighting, with contingency plans for parking areas and environmental sanitation before, during, and after the event.
Assigning the Hanoi Youth Union to coordinate and support Kanagawa Prefecture in arranging for the Hanoi Student Cultural House – No. 37 Tran Binh Trong, Hai Ba Trung – to be used as the reception venue for delegates during the event.
The City Police, Department of Construction, Department of Health, Department of Agriculture and Environment are assigned to coordinate the implementation of traffic safety, security and order, fire prevention and fighting, environmental sanitation, healthcare, food safety and hygiene, and urban landscape…
This year, the event marks the 6th organization, signifying a strong and effective cooperation journey between the Government of Kanagawa Prefecture and the Capital Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and relevant agencies of Vietnam. The event contributes to connecting the two cultures of Vietnam and Japan, enhancing People-to-People exchanges.
