Speaking at the celebration, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Tu Liem District Le Thi Thu Huong highlighted the meaning of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day and said that Bac Tu Liem District was the convergence of many cultural heritages of Ancient Vietnamese people, rich in quantity and diverse in types. The district has 136 monuments and 35 intangible cultural heritages. Of which 63 relics are classified as historical and cultural relic by the State, including 01 special national-level relic, 48 national-level relics, 14 city-level relics; 03 festivals have been included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage: Dinh Chem Festival, Thuy Phuong Ward; Dam Swimming Festival, Tay Tuu Ward; Kieu Mai brotherhood ceremony festival – Phu My, Phuc Dien ward. In addition, the district has 26 monuments of the revolutionary resistance (of which 23 have been decided by the City People’s Committee to attach a sign).

After assessing the important results achieved as well as the difficulties in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in the area over the past time, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Tu Liem district suggested the following: , specialized committees of districts, authorities and people of wards continue to pay more attention to the management, protection and promotion of cultural heritage values with many specific contents.
“Today, in the middle of autumn in Hanoi, thousands of years of civilization, we are happy to gather here to look back on the results we have achieved in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage; affirming and honoring the value of cultural heritages in a land rich in historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions. This is also a meaningful activity to propagate and promote cultural heritage to the community; Thereby further raising the awareness and responsibility of the whole people in the protection and promotion of cultural heritage values”, emphasized Vice Chairman of People’s Committee of Bac Tu Liem District.
