Aiming at imparting widely to the masses of people about the position and role of emulation and commendation according to Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, stepping up the patriotic emulation movement, well implementing the annual theme “Strengthening the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the political system”, and creating a positive atmosphere and encouraging the implementation of the tasks and socio-economic targets of the city in 2018, associated with “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideas, ethics and style”, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports has developed a plan to organize activities of decorating, propagating, and visually promoting the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s “Call for Patriotic Emulation” in a practical and effective manner, conveying the message of propaganda and education.
Accordingly, from June 1 to June 12, Hanoi city will promote the propaganda in the main streets, roads and central areas of the city, specifically: decorating fixed panel assemblies in inner city and the suburbs; decorating 10 double-sided panel assemblies on the separation lines of the streets in central area; decorating panels at head office of the City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Information House at No. 45 Trang Tien and No. 93 Dinh Tien Hoang; setting up 02 model assemblies in the square in front of the State Bank and in the area where the anniversary will be celebrated; decorating 2,500 banners along the main roads, streets, central areas of the city, roads leading to the conference venue; decorating the National Flag, the Party Flag and the Red Flag in the area in front of Ly Thai To monument, in the areas of the City People’s Committee and the State Bank; and decorating the Hall where meeting will be held.
In addition, Hanoi city will organize exhibitions of paintings and photos for propaganda purposes; organize two-night mobile propaganda activities in the city; enhance the propaganda on Hanoi Cultural Bulletin, City Portal; and conduct broadcast propaganda for implementation at the grass-roots level.
At grass-roots level, people’s committees of districts and townships shall, based on the City’s plan and guidance of the Department of Culture and Communication, direct the Office of Culture and Communication, Center for Culture, Communication & Sports of the district and townships to draw up specific plans and options, ensuring the synchronous and timely implementation; to promote the propaganda in various ways such as: decorating panel assemblies, making banners in the pattern approved by the City. Local radio station should broadcast many news with prolonged duration to propagandize the celebration of the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s “Call for Patriotic Emulation”. The mobile propaganda teams shall organize mobile propaganda sessions, perform arts to serve the local people, and so on.
