During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh had taught: “Invalids, wounded soldiers, and families of martyrs are those who have contributed greatly to the Fatherland and the people. So it is our duty to be grateful, to love and to help them”. Imbued with Uncle Ho’s word and with the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, our Party and State have always paid attention to fulfill the mission of taking care of war invalids, martyrs and people who served the revolution, and called upon others to actively participate in the movements “Gratitude and Repayment”, “The entire nation takes care of the families of war invalids, martyrs and people who served the revolution”. Many guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on preferential treatment for people who served the revolutionary have been promulgated; beneficiaries of preferential policies are expanded, the preferential regimes have been gradually added and improved, showing the respect, gratitude and care of our Party, State and People.
Together with the entire country, the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front Committee and the people in Hanoi capital with deep gratitude and love, have always made efforts and tried to take comprehensive care of people with meritorious service.
