The exhibition introduced 59 artworks on the theme of Celebrating Party – Celebrating Spring by 54 painters of many generations, from Indochina Fine Arts, Resistance Arts to the present time (Tran Van Can, Bui Xuan Phai, Tran Luu Hau, Ngo Ton De, Nguyen Nghia Duyen, Nguyen Luong Tieu Bach, etc.), including diverse genres (painting, graphics, sculpture, etc.) and rich materials (lacquer, oil paint, silk, color water, gouache, woodcarving, bronze statue, wood.)

The exhibition “Forever Spring” reflects the diverse perspectives and expressions of many generations of artists, however, in the end, is the passionate affection of the artists for spring, for the Party and the country. Praising the Vietnamese Communist Party is shown by works such as Party admission in prison (Nguyen Duc Nung), Indomitability (Hua Tu Hoai), etc. The people’s hearts for the Party are portrayed in the works such as Life with Party (Le Son Hai), Meo people became literate thanks to the Party and Uncle Ho (Quach Hung), etc. The image of the beloved Ho Chi Minh leader is successfully portrayed by the works including Thesis to Uncle Ho (Nguyen Minh Thong), Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh (Nguyen Nung). Important achievements in the struggle to defend the Fatherland as a milestone in 1954 are shown in works such as Gathering (Nguyen Hiem); in 1975, in the works of the Congratulations on the liberation of the South (Pham Viet Hai), Forever spring (Le Duc Lai), etc. Also, important historical places are recorded by artworks such as Thanh Chuong, Karl Marx Mountain (Tran Dinh Tho), Xo Viet Nghe Tinh (Duong Ngoc Canh), A part of Pac Bo (Mai Van Hien), Tan Trao banyan tree (Van Giao), etc.

At the same time, viewers will feel the vitality of the era, positive change through the image of building a new life in the works of Mining Town’s Landscape (Ngo Phuong Cuc), Rural Development (Nguyen Van Ky), Daily works in the village (Nguyen Luong Tieu Bach), etc. or the bustling spring melody in the country with Hanoi people welcome spring (Nguyen Ngoc Tuan), Hai Phong flower market (Vu Van Thu), Bao Ninh spring (Tran Van Can), etc.

In a special visual language, the artists recorded historical marks, expressed a close, optimistic view of the changes and development of the country and people in the joyful and full spring atmosphere, in the relentless campaign towards a brighter future. The organization board hoped the exhibition “Forever Spring” with profound meaning will be a wish of peace and happiness to the art lovers on the occasion of new spring.

The exhibition is free of charge from January 16 to the end of February 28, 2020, at the Special Gallery, Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum, located at No. 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hanoi.
