Celebrating the 42nd Anniversary Day of the South Region Liberation and National Unity and heading for the Municipal Physical Sports Congress, recently the People’s Committee of North Thanh Xuan Ward solemnly held an opening ceremony of the Fifth Physical Sports Congress – 2017.
Attending the Congress were Mr. Truong Minh Tien, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and sports of Ha Noi and others i.e Head of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People’ Council; members from the District Party Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the District Party Standing Committee; Deputy Chairmen of the District Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee of North Thanh Xuan District; Leaders from the branches and Departments, Unions in the District, Wards and athletes.
After the force-showing parade conducted by the units of about 1000 athletes, referees and the masses from street groups in the opening ceremony, a traditional torch of the Congress was lit to bring an impetus to the Congress.Then after, oath-takings were made by the representative referee and athlete.
The opening ceremony was ended up with the shows of festive drum, Aerobic dance, dancesports, physical exercises with a motto of “strong for the country”, dances and martial performance, …
Right after the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee held a tug-of- war competition with the first, second and third prize each given to the entire teams.
Through the holding of the Physical Sports Congress, the District of North Thanh Xuan would be able to select athletes with the outstanding achievements from the grassroots movement to particpate in the sports tournaments organized by the District and City
