On the evening of November 2, 2024, the final round and awards ceremony of the National Band Festival 2024 took place at the walking street of the Ancient Citadel in Son Tay Town.
The festival was jointly organized by the Son Tay Town People’s Committee, the Vietnam Musicians’ Association, and the Hanoi Musicians’ Association.
Held over three days from October 31 to November 2, 2024, the event featured the participation of nine bands representing both public and private performing arts groups nationwide. The festival brought a diverse range of musical performances to the residents of Son Tay Town and the Doai region, contributing to the development of local community cultural activities.
At the conclusion of the festival, the Nắng Mới band was awarded the Special Prize. The organizing committee also presented Grade A Awards to the Au Co and Trung bands. Grade B Awards were given to Phuong Dong, Linh Tre, Golden Hour, Makesene, and Viu Band. The Sanbox band received a Consolation Prize.
Additionally, individual awards were presented to outstanding performers.
The festival was a celebration marking the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation, the 100th anniversary of Son Tay Town’s founding, and the 555th anniversary of the Son Tay designation.
