Over the past 1 month, the Youth Union of Tot Dong Commune has cooked 2 main meals and 1 side meal every day for the checkpoints.
The Green Shipper Team of the Commune Youth Union helped and supported people to sell nearly 8 tons of loofah, more than 10,000 duck eggs, more than 100 pairs of pigeons and purchased items for families under medical isolation; organized youth volunteer teams to serve the pandemic tracing and vaccination campaigns for the people.
According to statistics, on August 26, the Youth Union of Tot Dong commune received more than VND 100 million, nearly 4 tons of food and many other necessities from organizations and individuals in the area. The above money and food were used by the Green Logistics Kitchen of the Commune Union to cook more than 5000 free meals with 2 main meals and 1 snack per day for officers, soldiers and forces on duty all day at the disease control checkpoint in the area.

Along with these activities, with the support of the Youth Union of the Press Department – Ministry of Information and Communications and Chuong My District Youth Union, the Youth Union of Tot Dong commune gave 12 gifts to the disadvantaged children in the area. Besides, to timely pay attention and encourage the forces on duty at the checkpoints in the area, the Youth Union of Tot Dong commune also visited and gave gifts at 24 checkpoints. The gifts include face masks, drinking water, milk and instant noodles. Funds are from the socialized source called for by the Commune Youth Union.

In these days of implementing the 3rd phase of distancing, the Green Logistics kitchen of the Commune Youth Union has also continued delivering meals to the forces on duty at the checkpoints. In particular, to prepare for the new school year 2021-2022, the Commune Youth Union is currently implementing the fundraising program “Bicycles carry dreams” to support disadvantaged students in the commune.
With the pioneering role of young people, the union members and youth of Tot Dong commune are ready to go anywhere, not afraid of difficulties to help people in difficult situations when the pandemic is still complicated.
