The project is an activity in Hanoi event series to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relation between Vietnam and South Korea. The project is aimed to build a cultural space, culture enjoyment and book reading; support cultural exchange; transmission of information, academic life, in order to improve the spiritual life quality of Hanoi people.

Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony, Mr. Kim Jae Chul – Chief Representative of COPION Office in Vietnam, was very honored and excited to hold the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the ODA Project “Public Library Vitalization” sponsored by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Through this project, it is hopefully expected to refurbish and vitalize Hanoi Library, making it a modern and attractive destination for many people to visit and use.

On behalf of Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Ms. Tran Thi Van Anh, Deputy Director, gave thanks to Mr. Kim Jae Chul – Chief Representative of COPION Office, delegates, guests, and sponsors … to attend the Project Groundbreaking Ceremony. She excitedly said: Following the “Library of dreams” project for children (phase 1), after a period of active preparation, the “2021-2022 Public Library Vitalization” project for Hanoi Library was officially started up to now. In order to ensure quality, efficiency, safety and compliance of the project, the Deputy Director asked the Board of Directors of Hanoi Library to actively coordinate and facilitate investors to implement the construction, promptly report the progress to Department of Culture and Sports as prescribed. For Project Investors, based on schedule and work items approved by Hanoi People’s Committee, must speed up the construction progress, work quality, ensure labor safety, and epidemics prevention … She believed that “2021-2022 Public Library Vitalization” project shall become one of symbols of Vietnam-South Korea friendship.

Representative of the beneficiary of “2021-2022 Public Library Vitalization” project, Director of Hanoi Library, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh sincerely gave thanks to South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, COPION Office in Vietnam for the support, attention and choosing Hanoi Library. The project will improve the utilities usage efficiency of Hanoi Library. Hanoi Library is provided with modern equipment along with the arrangement of a complex of cultural spaces, contributing to improve the quality of human resources, activities and services, meeting the needs of reading culture enjoyment and development of Hanoi people. Hanoi Library wishes to continue receiving the support & attention of South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in order to promote and develop the library industry in general and Hanoi Library in particular.
“2021-2022 Public Library Vitalization” project is a cultural work, which enriches activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the diplomatic relation establishment between Vietnam and South Korea, as well as continues to expand cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.
