Hanoi: A Variety of Special Art Programs to Celebrate National Day

As part of a series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), Hanoi will organize and coordinate a wide range of cultural and artistic events..

As part of a series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), Hanoi will organize and coordinate a wide range of cultural and artistic events at both national and municipal levels.

The special art program “Hanoi – From the Historic Autumn of 1945” will take place at August Revolution Square

 At the national level, notable programs include: the Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with relevant units, organizing the program “Peaceful Homeland Days” from August 16 to 19, featuring experiential activities, exhibitions, and various cultural and artistic performances.

The art program “Proud to Be Vietnamese” will be held on the evening of August 17 at My Dinh National Stadium, chaired by the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization in coordination with the Hanoi People’s Committee and Vietnam Television. The live nationwide television bridge program themed “Golden Opportunity” will take place at 20:10 on 22 August 2025 at the Hanoi Flag Tower, chaired by the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization and organized by Vietnam Television and the Hanoi People’s Committee.

Subsequently, on the evening of September 1 at My Dinh National Stadium, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize a special art program commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2), with an expected audience of 30,000 people.

 At the city level, Hanoi will organize a series of outstanding programs, including: the art program “Hanoi – Forever Shining with the Aspiration of Vietnam” combined with a mapping light show at the National Exhibition Center on the evening of August 31; light mapping performances at Hoan Kiem Lake on August 29 and 30; and the program “80 Years – Pride of Vietnam” on the evening of September 2 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, alongside daytime experiential activities from August 30 to 2 September.

In particular, on the evening of 2 September, Hanoi will host a series of art programs associated with high-altitude fireworks displays, including: “Under the Golden Star” at My Dinh National Stadium; “The Immortal Epic” at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden (Tay Ho District); and “The Everlasting Song of Triumph” at Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong District).

In addition, throughout this period, art performances will also be brought to serve residents in suburban and outlying districts of the city, including Thach That, Phu Xuyen, Me Linh, Ba Vi, My Duc, Dan Phuong, and Ung Hoa.
