In the afternoon of July 11th, at the headquarter at 47 Hang Dau, Hoan Kiem, the Department of Culture and Sport held the fifth prize award ceremony, marking the completion of the award gving to coaches, athletes who have achieved excellent performance year 2016.
In 2016, 888 athletes and 542 coaches from the capital have excellently made achiements in the national, international and regional competitions with 635 medals, of which 305 are gold medals, 193 are silver medals and 137 are bronze medals.
The accurate and timely award donations have encouraged coaches, athletes to continue their efforts, self-training and strive for more achievements at the 29th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Malaysia, the 8th National Gymnasium-Sports Festival in Ha Noi in 2018 and annual national and international sport tournaments.
According to the Director of the Hanoi Culture and Sports Department, the fact that Hanoi People’s Council issued a new Resolution on the bonus levels for coaches and athletes has put Hanoi into the locality that adopts the highest bonus in country. Hopefully, with the new policies and regimes applied, the close guidance of all levels, branches, departments and units under the Department, shall contribute to encourage and foster numerous coaches and athletes to continue to strive, make efforts to achieve higher achievements, contributing more achievements for Hanoi sport and the whole country sport in the years to come.
