At the conference, Head of Planning and Finance Division Le Thi Cam Tu informed about the situation, socio-economic development tasks and estimates in 2022 and key tasks to be implemented in 2023. Accordingly, 2022 is a year when the Department of Culture and Sports has implemented a large amount of work, including many new complex tasks. During the implementation process, there were many difficulties in the context of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the first months of the year. However, under the direction and instruction of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Department, the Department of Culture and Sports has basically completed the assigned tasks. In particular, the outstanding results are as follows: Safe, effective and successful organization of major activities and events of the capital and the country in 11 months of 2022, typically the opening and closing ceremonies of the 31st SEA Games, Capital Sport Games; series of activities during Creative Design Week; activities to celebrate major holidays of the year.
The advisory and policy work was carried out proactively and effectively: Disseminate and thoroughly implement Resolution 15 of the Politburo, comment on the implementation plan of Resolution 15 of the Politburo on developing Hanoi Capital to 2030 and vision to 2045 of Hanoi People’s Committee. Promulgating plan No. 410, implementing plan 146 of the City People’s Committee on the formulation of the capital planning period 2021-2030, vision to 2050 in the field of culture and sports. Participating in completing policies on capital construction related to the field of culture and sports. Advise the City Party Committee to issue Resolution No. 09 on the development of cultural industry in Hanoi capital for the period of 2021-2025, orientation to 2030 and vision to 2045. In the field of Sports, the Department has successfully coordinated to organize the 31st SEA Games, well prepared the logistics and facilities for the Games. The performance of the Hanoi Performance Sports Delegation continued to maintain its leading position with outstanding performance and the successful organization of the Capital Sport Games.
Regarding the results of budget revenue and expenditure by the end of November 2022, revenue from tourist attraction collection reached VND 45.5 billion, welcomed 1.5 million visitors, completing 105% of the assigned plan and increasing 5 times over the same period in 2021. Revenue from performing arts activities in 11 months reached 12.6 billion. Art units under the Department have organized 725 political performances with revenue and attracted an audience of more than 451,800 turns… Up to now, the disbursement rate of the whole industry is 77% compared with the assigned budget.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Do Dinh Hong asked departments, divisions and units to review all assigned tasks, especially speeding up the completion of politics tasks in 2023 is the pivotal year to implement the targets and goals of the 17th City Party Congress Resolution, including important tasks of the Culture and Sports sector that need to be implemented, in which focus is needed. The center implements the contents, plans and projects of Program 06/Ctr-TU, Resolution 09-NQ/TU and the Action Program of the City People’s Committee.
