On November 4, 2024, the Hanoi Drama Theater, in collaboration with the Me Linh District Department of Education and Training, held the opening ceremony for the implementation of the 2024 School Theater Scheme for secondary and high school students in the district. The event featured theatrical performances adapted from literary works included in the local school curriculum.

During the ceremony, Hanoi Drama Theater artists performed the play Tinh Than The Duc for 350 students and teachers from Trung Vuong Secondary School. The play was adapted from the literary piece Tinh Than The Duc by renowned author Nguyen Cong Hoan.

According to the plan, from November 4 to 14, 2024, the Hanoi Drama Theater will present six live performances at the Hall of the People’s Council and People’s Committee of Me Linh District. These performances will serve over 10,000 students from secondary schools, high schools, and continuing education centers in the area, with each play lasting 60 minutes.

In September 2024, the theater successfully organized eight performances for all elementary school students in the district. The artists presented two plays: The Legend of the Tet Pole and The Orphan’s Trial.

Through these performances, students gain a deeper appreciation for the satirical and humorous elements in literary works via theatrical expression. The scheme fosters aesthetic sensibility, supports character development, promotes positive lifestyle choices, and nurtures a love for their homeland and nation.
