On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Public Security Force’s Traditional Day, and the 20th anniversary of the All-People’s Day for National Security Protection, the Hanoi Center for Culture and Libraries, in coordination with relevant units, will organize a series of propaganda film screenings and artistic performances throughout August and September 2025.
The program offers the capital’s residents an opportunity to enjoy a wide range of cinematic works, including documentaries, feature films, and animated films, rich in historical and artistic value. These screenings invite audiences on a journey back in time, vividly recreating the heroic spirit of historic autumn days and the shining milestones in the nation’s cause of construction and defense.
The event also aims to deepen public pride in national traditions, foster love for the homeland, strengthen the spirit of self-reliance and resilience, and spread a message of gratitude to previous generations, while inspiring a renewed aspiration to contribute to the country’s continued advancement.
The program comprises 80 mobile film screenings serving residents in wards and communes; workers in industrial parks and export-processing zones; students of universities, colleges, general education and vocational schools; and inmates at correctional and reformatory institutions across Hanoi.

In addition, 40 screenings will be held at Kim Dong Cinema (19 Hang Bai Street, Cua Nam) and September 2 Cinema (9 Le Lai Street, Son Tay) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from August 1 to September 15, 2025.

The film “Ha Noi mua dong nam 46” is also selected for screening.
Furthermore, the Hanoi Center for Culture and Libraries will organize one special screening combined with an artistic performance on the evening of August 22 at the outdoor stage of the Cultural, Information, and Sports Center of Phu Dien Ward (6 Vo Quy Huan Street, Phu Dien, Hanoi).
Audiences in the capital will have the chance to enjoy a selection of revolutionary films of notable artistic merit and significance, including Sao thang 8, Ha Noi mua dong nam 46, Ha Noi 12 ngay dem, Nga ba Dong Loc, Dao, pho va piano, and Canh dong hoang, among others.
