On the evening of November 21, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, in coordination with the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, hosted the Hanoi 2025 International Cultural and Artistic Exchange Program at the cultural space of Ba Kieu Temple in the Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian area. The program aimed to build cultural bridges, honor shared values of homeland, country, and people, promote distinctive cultural features of Vietnam and other nations, and reflect Hanoi’s orientation toward advancing cultural diplomacy, contributing to the international promotion of the capital as a City for Peace.
The event was attended by ambassadors and deputy ambassadors from countries including Palestine, Argentina, Laos, and China, along with representatives from the embassies of India, Cambodia, Mongolia, and the Philippines; leaders of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports; the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations; international organizations; and a broad cross-section of Hanoi residents.

The program helped strengthen cultural diplomacy while expanding external exchanges and international cooperation.

The program contributed to reaffirming Hanoi’s role in the process of global cultural exchange and integration.
The program unfolded in three segments. Part One – “Hello Vietnam” extended a warm welcome to international friends, introducing the distinctive beauty of Vietnamese culture, rich in identity, emotion, and vitality. Audiences experienced Vietnam through performances infused with folk melodies, traditional instruments, and evocative images of the homeland, conveying messages of hospitality, friendship, and respect.

This program also served to widely promote Hanoi – the thousand-year-old capital of heritage, dynamic and creative, to international audiences.
Part Two – “Cultural Bridge” created a space for artistic exchange among nations. Diplomats, artists, and international friends shared stories of cultural diversity, respect, understanding, and connection. Through art, the segment brought people closer with performances highlighting each nation’s cultural beauty, music, and spirit.

Delegates present flowers and take commemorative photos.
Part Three – “Melodies of Connection and Sharing” featured music carrying messages of peace, love, and global solidarity.
The Hanoi 2025 International Cultural and Artistic Exchange Program not only promoted mutual understanding but also reaffirmed Hanoi’s role in international cultural integration. It further enhanced the capital’s image as a city of deep heritage, creativity, and openness, upholding its titles of “City for Peace” and “Creative City,” and reinforcing its reputation as a safe, friendly, and attractive destination.
In response to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the program also raised VND 100 million to support residents severely affected by floods across the city.
