On September 7, the Hanoi City Party Committee’s Propaganda Committee issued plan No. 106-KH/BTGTU regarding the organization of the 6th Cultural Development and Elegant and Civilized Hanoian Building Journalism Awards – 2023.
Accordingly, the 6th Cultural Development and Elegant and Civilized Hanoian Building Journalism Awards – 2023, is part of a series of events commemorating the 69th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2023). It marks the commencement of the grand and impactful events of “Hanoi’s autumn season,” aiming to create positive effects and widespread influence.
The 6th Cultural Development and Elegant and Civilized Hanoian Building Journalism Awards – 2023 aims to foster an advanced cultural environment in the Capital, rich in national identity. It seeks to inherit and promote the traditional cultural values of Thang Long – Hanoi, “A thousand years of civilization, the Heroic Capital, a city for peace.” The objective is to effectively implement the goal of cultivating sophisticated and cultured residents of Hanoi and developing cultural industries linked to the preservation and promotion of tangible and intangible cultural values. The ultimate aim is to truly establish Hanoi as a major cultural center. Of particular note is the encouragement and support for journalists, editors, collectives, and individuals actively contributing to the propaganda efforts in cultural development and elegant and civilized Hanoian building. The awards aim to recognize, commend, and reward high-quality journalistic works with significant outreach. This endeavor contributes to the effective implementation of Conclusion No. 76-KL/TU dated June 4, 2020, of the Politburo on the continued implementation of Resolution No. 33-NQ/TU of the 11th Party Central Committee, on building and developing culture, and the people of Vietnam meeting the requirements of the country’s sustainable development. It also aligns with the conclusions of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress held on November 24, 2021. Moreover, it is in line with Program No. 06-CTr/TU on “Cultural Development, Human Resource Quality Improvement, Building Sophisticated and Cultured Hanoians in the period 2021-2025” and Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU on “Developing Cultural Industries in the Capital Region for the period 2021-2025, with an orientation to 2030, and a vision to 2045.”
