On November 27, 2024, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Thu Ha signed Decision No. 6138/QD-UBND, classifying historical, cultural, and scenic heritage sites within Hanoi.
Thinh Thon Pagoda (Phuc Khanh Tu), Cam Thuong Commune, Ba Vi District
According to Decision No. 6138, 12 sites in Phuc Tho and Ba Vi districts have been classified as City-level heritage sites. Phuc Tho District includes two cultural and historical sites: Cuu Luc Communal House in Xuan Dinh Commune and the Duc Ong temple – Ca temple – Hat Mon Van Chi communal house complex in Hat Mon Commune. Ba Vi District includes ten cultural and historical sites: Pho Communal House in Tay Dang Town; Vien Chau Pagoda (Thien Linh Tu) in Co Do Commune; La Thuong Communal House, La Thuong Pagoda, and the Temple of Holy Lady Princess Hoang Loan in Tan Hong Commune; Thach Xa Pagoda (Thuan Phuc Tu) in Thuan My Commune; Phu Thinh and Thanh Chieu Communal Houses in Phu Cuong Commune; Thinh Thon Pagoda (Phuc Khanh Tu) in Cam Thuong Commune; and Bang Y Communal House in Son Da Commune.
Temple of Holy Lady Princess Hoang Loan, Tan Hong Commune, Ba Vi District
The People’s Committee of Hanoi has tasked the People’s Committees of Phuc Tho and Ba Vi districts with publicly delineating the protection areas of these heritage sites and organizing the marking of these areas on the ground according to legal authority and current regulations.
The People’s Committees of the communes with historical sites are instructed to establish management boards for the heritage sites, manage the premises and space of the sites, protect and promote the value of the sites, and manage the revenues from these sites as per Decision No. 48/2016/QD-UBND dated November 17, 2016, and Decision No. 31/2021/QD-UBND dated December 29, 2021, issued by the Hanoi People’s Committee on promulgating regulations, amending and supplementing a number of articles of the regulations on management, protection and promotion of the value of historical – cultural relics and scenic spots in Hanoi city.
All construction and exploitation activities in the classified heritage areas are strictly prohibited. Any special cases requiring the use of land or construction at these sites must be approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee.
The Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi, the People’s Committees of Phuc Tho and Ba Vi districts, and the People’s Committees of the communes with classified heritage sites are responsible for state management of these heritage sites within their authority and in accordance with cultural heritage laws.
