Implementing the direction of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the Hanoi Cultural Center and Library is organizing the film screening program celebrating the successful 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025); the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Public Security Traditional Day; and the 20th anniversary of the All-People’s Day for National Security Protection.

The program includes 80 mobile screenings serving the public in wards and communes; workers in industrial parks and export processing zones; pupils and students of universities, colleges, general education schools, and vocational schools; as well as inmates at reformatories and reeducation centers across Hanoi. In addition, there are 40 screenings at Kim Dong Cinema (19 Hang Bai, Cua Nam Ward) and September 2 Cinema (9 Le Lai, Son Tay Ward) on weekend evenings, from August 1 to September 15.

Audiences have the opportunity to enjoy many films rich in historical and artistic value such as: Sao thang 8, Ha Noi mua dong nam 46, Canh dong hoang, Ha Noi 12 ngay dem, Nga ba Dong Loc, Nhung nguoi viet huyen thoai, Dao, pho va piano, etc. In addition, a special program combining film screenings and artistic performances will take place on the evening of August 22 at the outdoor stage of the Cultural – Information and Sports Center of Phu Dien Ward (6 Vo Quy Huan, Phu Dien Ward).

This meaningful activity provides an opportunity for the capital’s public to enjoy documentary films, feature films, and animated works rich in historical and artistic value, opening a journey back to the past, recreating the heroic spirit of the historic autumn days and the brilliant milestones in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
