The competition, organized by the Thua Thien Hue Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with the Sports Authority of Vietnam, saw 200 athletes from 9 teams compete, including representatives from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Bac Giang, Nghe An, Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Dong Thap, the People’s Police, and Thua Thien Hue.
During the event, the athletes competed in six categories: men’s doubles, women’s doubles, men’s team of three, women’s team of three, men’s team of four, and women’s team of four.

In the final results, Hanoi emerged as the top team, winning 3 out of the 6 championships. Dong Nai, Nghe An, and Vinh Long each won 1 title.
Specifically, in the men’s doubles category, Hanoi took First Place, Ho Chi Minh City earned Second, and Nghe An and Dong Nai shared Third Place. In the women’s doubles category, Hanoi claimed First Place, Dong Nai secured Second, and the People’s Police and Nghe An teams shared Third.
In the women’s team of three category, Nghe An took the championship, with Bac Giang finishing Second and Hanoi and Dong Nai sharing Third. In the men’s team of three category, Vinh Long claimed First Place, Hanoi finished Second, and Dong Nai and Nghe An shared Third.
The event organizers presented cups and medals to the top-performing teams.
In the women’s team of four category, Hanoi won First, the People’s Police took Second, and Nghe An and Ho Chi Minh City shared Third. In the men’s team of four category, Dong Nai finished First, Vinh Long earned Second, and Thua Thien Hue and Dong Thap shared Third.
According to expert evaluations, this year’s tournament saw teams well-prepared in terms of both technical skills and strategy, resulting in a high level of competition. The event featured numerous thrilling and captivating matches.
Mr. Bui Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Thua Thien Hue Department of Culture and Sports, stated that hosting the event in Thua Thien Hue provided athletes with an opportunity not only to compete but also to interact and learn from each other. Additionally, the competition offered valuable insight into athlete training programs across regions, which will aid in selecting outstanding athletes for the national team and preparing for regional and international tournaments.
