1,500 international artists to attend the music show at the 6th Heritages Festival in Quang Nam province.
On the 9th May, at Ha Noi, Quang Nam People’s Committee in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Viet Nam UNSCO National committee held a press briefing on Quang Nam’s 6th Heritages Festival – 2017.
As planned, Quang Nam Heritages Festival would take place as of 7 – 14 June at Tam Ky, Hoi An and a number of districts in Quang Nam province area.
Many ebullient activities at Hoi An during Quang Nam Heritages Festival
The culmination of the Festival would be an opening ceremony at 20.00hrs on the 9th June at Tam Thanh seaside, Tam Ky city and a closing ceremony would be at 20.00hrs on the 14th June at Song Hoai Square, Hoi An city. This was the music programme, introducing cultural colours of Viet Nam heritages and Quang Nam’s culture. The programme would be live televized on VTV.
Within the framework of the programme, there would be such activities as: Competition of “International Orchestra” with the participation of nearly 32 troupes (including 24 international), about 1,500 artists coming from 15 nations and territories as Russia, Japan, China, singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam,..); “International Kites Festival” with the participation of 90 domestic craftsmen and 28 ones coming from 12 countries join the show with nearly 300 traditional and modern kites; “Silk and Brocade Festival of Viet Nam and the World” with the participation of the Silk Associations of Japan, China, France, Italy, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Brazil and Asian Silk Association, World Silk Association, together with appropximate 20 silk craft villages in Viet Nam.
Especially, at this Festival, a traditional music contest of Bai Choi songs would be held for the participants coming form the central provinces of Viet Nam, and display the intangible heritages which were recognized by UNESCO.
