As a prominent historical landmark in the capital, in order to fully capitalize on the values of the Relic, the Management Board focuses on maintaining the original architectural elements, enhancing research, and collecting documents and artifacts related to Hoa Lo Prison. The Board also emphasizes incorporating experiential activities into the permanent exhibition system, making it more authentic, engaging, and stimulating public participation. The visitor experience has been enhanced with appropriate exhibition commentary tailored to various age groups, bringing history to life through narration and dynamic sound, alongside innovative display methods and increased interaction in specialized exhibitions.
Every year, the Board introduces 3 to 5 thematic exhibitions to commemorate historical events and national holidays, covering a wide range of topics. Interactive activities are increasingly applied in these thematic exhibitions, enriching the visitor experience. “Sacred Night 3: The Fire of Youth” Experiential Tour Program
Notably, the Board has organized nighttime tours at Hoa Lo Prison with themes such as “Sacred Night 2 – Living Like Flowers” and “Sacred Night 3 – The Fire of Youth.” The evening setting is enhanced with sound, lighting, and realistic stories about life in the prison, staged through reenactments, taking visitors back in time to experience history as if it were unfolding before them. This experience stimulates the senses and leaves a lasting impression on visitors. After participating in the Sacred Night program, visitors, especially the younger generation, gain a deeper understanding of the value of independence and peace, which they benefit from today, and are motivated in their work and daily life, feeling the need to live more responsibly to contribute to the country’s development.
