On the morning 0f 31st March 2017, the Steering Committee of the whole people unity movement’s tasks in building cultured life in Hoan Kiem district held a meeting to evaluate the outcomes of the 2016 movement, and to implement the tasks in 2017.

In 2016, the whole people unity movement in building cultured life continued to be carried out in an intensive, extensive and comprehensive manner; applying creatively the city’s guidances to the concrete situations in the district and wards; incorporating closely, regularly and effectively the contents into the emulation movement of “ good people, good things” and other emulation movements of each branch, agency, unit, in which concentrating on grassroots and residential areas; attaching great importance to quality improvement, overcoming formalism, especially in registering, building, inspecting, judging and recognizing the cultural titles. The implementation of the movement’s contents was maintained in order, making positive contribution to bringing into play the democracy, enhancing the entire people great unity and social concensus, stepping up the building of cultured life, healthy cultural environment, educating the good historical, cultural tradition of the nation with moral standards of “to be grateful to the benefactors”, the spirit of “mutual affection and mutual love”, fixing the welfare issues, developing socio-economically, bringing about radical changes in urban orders and environmental sanitation, ensuring political stability on the site, helping turn Hoan Kiem district ever wealthier, more beautiful, elegant and civilized.
In 2016, within the whole district area, there were 29,167.000 households committed to obtaining the title of cultured family (87.9%); 558 street residential groups registering the title of cultured street residential group (85.8%); registered 119 bodies, units and businesses had been able to reach the cultured standard,.. With such achievements, in 2016, the district People’s Committee presented certificate of commendment and in-kind rewards to 43 units, 36 street residential groups, 58 outstanding cultured families and 61 individuals for having made the best performances within the whole people unity movement in building cultured life.

Further building on the achievements, in 2017, the Steering Committee of the Movement set forth main tasks, namely: continuing to improve the movement’quality in conjunction with execution of the district party committee’s work plans; combining to build cultured family, cultured street residential group with exercising civilized life styles in the organization of wedding, funeral, taking them as basic norms for the recognition of the cultured titles. Striving to achieve the following main targets: 88% of cultured families; 80% of cultured street reridential groups; 80% of cultured bodies, units and businesses.
